| After the lawsuit finished between Konami and Roxor, Konami now has the intellectual property rights to In the Groove. Is ITG finished, or do you believe that Konami will continue the series? | |

| It's sad. Ofcourse Konami colsed book named ITG. Why? It's simple. Konami has DDR. In other words I don't think we can see, ITG 3 or Song Pack B for ITG PC. | |

| I don't know what to say about this. While I don't think Konami will continue it right away, that certainly doesn't mean ITG's done for.
Actually, wouldn't it be funny if Konami made a new ITG3 with a bunch of IIDX songs? XD

| Konami do not continue ITG. Why? 'Cause Konami have DDR. But... Mabye little collaboration? In The Revolution? Or Dance Dance Groove Revolution? No... We can only wait for Konami's next move... Wonder what Konami take next? PIU? Blah... | |

| I don't think so, actually. I once read that Konami has already sued Anadmiro, IIRC, so not them. Maybe, in a bizarre move, Konami will take over the unplayed Technomotion and then...I don't know. Discontinue the Discontinued. | |

| i think konami will continue itg, becuase it would be profitable for them to do so, there is many fan boys out thte who will say fuck ddr and quit playing becuase itg captured interest from drr, that is the only reason konami sued | |

| I don't think so. Konami didn't sue R0x0r because it felt like it had competition. On the general scale, Konami is the clear winner for competition, although yes, R0x0r does have more fanboys. But Konami doesn't care about fanboys that much. It listens, does their song requests, blah, but all in all DDR favors newbies much better. Konami merely sued R0x0r because it was-bored. | |

| thats true, they favor newbies therefore more ppl buy the games, but lately i have rarely seen itg one in any house, im the only person i know who has it, and thats makes me think that konami is just gonna flush itg, but konami could get the best of both battles and publish a new itg, making money of both ends of the stick | |

EDIT: 'Cept for Turn It On. I still don't understand why they put that song in the game. I would just think that they were already about to release ITG 2 for the PS2, they had dated it for Fall 2006, so I would think it would barely cost Konami much to just publish a game that was mostly,if not completely, finished.

| Publishing an ITG game would do Konami no good. Because the people that are "pro-RoXoR" would KeeL Over at the prospect of a "Konami-Published ITG".
I -kinda- understand where Konami's going with their thing - back in '98, a "DDR setup" would be VERY expensive to produce, where a couple years ago, "BoXoRs" were not - especially seeing as they USED the DDR cabs to begin with. And while ITG was not really "direct competition" (okay, yes it was); it DID open the door for a TON of wannabes to start producing titles - including pirate DDR setups. Yes, they DO exist, this coming from someone in Southern California here.
I liked ITG too, it's a whole different monster, to me. But I still think from a design perspective, DDR overall is still better - though the direction ITG was going (especially with Marathon Mode) had a lot more potential. DDR -is- taking steps towards it (see SuperNOVA/ULTRAMIX 4/UNIVERSE, anything on "ONI").

| That last part is because most if not all of the new steps are made by the Konami US Group, and not by the Japanese Group. In the US, it's all about speed, where in Japan it was more about the melody of the song. Personally, I liked the old ones better. The only reason I played ITG, was because of the modded Marathons. Driven was cool. ;P | |

| this is dumb! why did Konami have to go do that? I mean, why didn't they destroy PIU? I think ITG should be continued or at least have the steps for download for StepMania somewhere...
I have the official ITG steps for a song that was gonna be on ITG3.
Anyone want it? It is called Disconnected Zeo
