As many people that play pad, our only option would be R21 (or R23, god forbid) and to go through the trouble of converting the .mp3 and resyncing the song. Can yo uprovide .ogg files for your sims please?

It can be a good suggestion . I'll take a look, but we have no ITG machine in France to test the R21/R23 compatibility (check if everything is right).
