That last part is because most if not all of the new steps are made by the Konami US Group, and not by the Japanese Group. In the US, it's all about speed, where in Japan it was more about the melody of the song. Personally, I liked the old ones better.
The only reason I played ITG, was because of the modded Marathons. Driven was cool. ;P

this is dumb! why did Konami have to go do that? I mean, why didn't they destroy PIU? I think ITG should be continued or at least have the steps for download for StepMania somewhere...
I have the official ITG steps for a song that was gonna be on ITG3.
